Welcome to SECUF-2022

Introduction

The 1st International Conference on Physics under Synergetic Extreme Conditions Held jointly with the 3rd User Meeting and Summer School of SECUF (SECUF-2022) stems out of the conference series of “User Meeting of Synergetic Extreme Conditions User Facility (SECUF)”, which has been held since 2019 to absorb the suggestions of experts and users on the construction of the facility and jointly discuss the overall plan of open operation in the future. Now, the facility construction is coming to an end and five experimental stations of the facility were put into trial operation in advance in January, 2022. To meet the new stage of SECUF, the Organizing Committee decided to open for foreign participants, while simultaneously add new sessions to the conference, involving more topics and expanding the scale of the conference. SECUF-2022 aims to introduce the facility to future domestic and international users, and to exchange the scientific research progress on physics under synergetic extreme conditions, meanwhile to strengthen academic exchanges and enhance the international influences of SECUF.

SECUF-2022 will be held on July 15-20, 2022 mainly in Huairou District, Beijing, China, co-sponsored by the Huairou Division and Academic Services Department of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Science and Jilin University. The conference consists of two parts: one part is the summer school of SECUF, which will give basic courses of synergetic extreme conditions and detailed introductions of every experimental station; and the other part is the international conference on physics under synergetic extreme conditions jointly with the user meeting, which will have four sessions to exchange academic research progress and discuss the development of extreme condition physics. For the international conference on July 17-20, the offline venue of the plenary session and three parallel sessions (International Conference: Physical properties of strongly correlated and other noval matereials under extreme conditins; International Conference: Quantum transport in low dimensional materials and quantum devices at ultralow temperatures and International Conference: Ultra-fast sciences and technology) are located in Beijing and the other parallel session(International Conference: Large-volume Press Techniques and their applicaitons) is located in Jilin.

Session 1:   Physical properties of strongly correlated and other noval matereials under extreme conditins; Session 2:   Quantum transport in low dimensional materials and quantum devices at ultralow temperatures; Session 3:   Ultra-fast sciences and technology;                                                                                                    Session 4:   Large-volume Press Techniques and their applicaitons;

The conference language will be English. The reports of summer school are all invited and the conference reports can be submitted by oral reports or posters. There is no registration fee for the meeting and please bear the cost of board and lodging by yourself.

The conference consists of both online and on-site talks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the deadline for registration and submission of posters is June 15. The maximum number of participants for on-site meetings is limited, but there is no limit to the number of online participants.
